I am very proud to announce the launch of the 2023 American Legal Technology Awards Dinner Gala!
The formal awards dinner event will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, October 8th (the night before Clio Con starts, just like last year!) celebrating the luminaries of the legal industry, with a 3 course dinner, fine wine, and a house party vibe.
Last year we sold out and we expect this year tickets are going to sell fast.
"We have a lot to live up to with our first Awards Gala having been a smashing success. We want to recreate the camaraderie and sense of fun as we continue to build our community," said Tom Martin, co-founder of the Awards.
This year's theme is 'Belonging': because awards are nothing without a community to celebrate them and who work together in common cause to drive positive change.
Last year's gala garnered an NPS score of 77 and attendees remarked about what touched them most: "It made me feel very special." "All the legal tech people, celebration of legal tech, and the fun host" "The purpose, the camaraderie, venue."
This year we are introducing a Lifetime Achievement Award, to recognize an individual who has displayed leadership, excellence and vision over a long career in driving innovation in the law.
We stay committed to honoring those making a difference with our mission to hold up examples of excellence in creative innovation and technology in the legal industry for the purposes of (1) expanding our understanding of what is possible, (2) encouraging a virtuous cycle of improvement, and (3) creating a more just society.
We are hosting 4 "Genius Panels" running up to the awards. Our technology panel in January, about ChatGPT's impact on the legal industry, was moderated by Tom Martin and featured panelists Dazza Greenwood, Natalie Anne Knowlton, Jaqueline Schafer, and ChatGPT itself. It sold out with over 500 attendees. The Access to Justice panel in March, was moderated by Cat Moon and featured panelists Sonja Ebron, Jazz Hampton and Natalie Anne Knowlton, and sold 200 tickets. The next two: one in June showcasing several of our past award winners and the last in September with a State of the Industry discussion featuring our sponsors: Jack Newton (Clio), Ann Cosimano (ARAG), Dru Armstrong (LawPay), and Mark Homer (GNGF).
