Product Update: Brief a Case with LawDroid Copilot

A new feature I think you'll like to know about

LawDroid Copilot is an AI Legal Assistant. It’s ChatGPT for Lawyers.

Copilot can help you with basic legal research, summarizing information, correcting grammar and drafting letters and emails. It is powered by OpenAI and the LawDroid Builder no code automation platform.

In this video, I share our case briefing feature. In it, you’ll see that Copilot can take any case opinion and brief it like we did back in law school.

It will read and analyze the court opinion and break it down:

  • Facts

  • Procedural History

  • Issues

  • Rule

  • Holding

  • Reasoning

Case briefing is a handy way to get familiar with a case quickly. And now, you don’t have to spend a long time boiling a case down to its essential parts.

Once Copilot has created the case briefing, it will place itself into ‘Research Mode.’ In Research Mode, you can ask any follow up questions you want about the case and get natural language answers. For example, you might ask, “What is the name of the judge who wrote this opinion?”

Say goodbye to boolean searches. Say hello to having a conversation with your legal research.

So, what do you think…

At LawDroid, we strive to create a product that will make your job easier. After all, Copilot is meant to support you and steer you in the right direction, not to replace your expertise. But we also recognize we haven’t thought of everything…

If there’s a feature you’d like to add to Copilot, let me know in the comments below.
